As you can see in that link, the "operation center" of these thieves is in PA, that is the same place they're asking me to send VALUABLE PERSONAL INFORMATION. It's a 123.click company, so you should know it's a fraud, scam, rip-off, everything together!
This is what happened, I'll describe it also with pictures so you can see/read everything:
1) I accessed to this link:
www.consumerrewards.us.com
I've been looking at this kind of offers for a long time, many of them you have to complete 13 or more reward offers (that's a lot) and besides many times you can only cancel up to 2 reward offers. So at the end, you would finish expending a lot of money.
But then I finally see this reward program (only 6 offfers and it didn't say anything about I couldn't cancel all of them). So I decided to try, although deep in my heart I knew it was a scam. I didn't need to have 2 Master and 1 Phd degrees (that I have) to know it. It's just common sense.
Any way, only 6 offers to complete, many of them nice to try (like free 1 month Netflix) and others you only have to pay a "small amounth for S&H". So I completed the 6 offers inmediatly, all the same day, that was August 31th 2011.
2) You can keep track of the status of the transactions (link at the end of the web page). So next day I checked and 2 or 3 companies already update the status from pending to Approved. I almost checked evwry day, but yesterday there were still 2 offers with pending status. Only until today I got this:
3) So I thought: finally, my money! but then I kept filling the information, as shown:
4) Conclusion: Come on! If they're asking for your SSN and taxes info, let's face it, it's just a rip-off. I don't need to sent my info to realize a week later that they stole my identity and I was just an idiot. I hope you don't need it either. I hope it helps!
PS1: I called every single company that I applied for the offers, and they didn't have any idea what was consumerrewards.us.com about. So the approved status has nothing to do with the companies. They are all good companies - almost all of them, but that is another story... (keep an eye on whatever you are signing for, the small letter, the terms and conditions...)
PS2: I found a nice link about someone that is doing something about all these frauds, warning US citizens (don't think it's just in one state or the other, is in all America):
Please let everyone know about this!
Please, all comments are welcome
